I've come to accept that I will not likely die peacefully nor rest in peace.

This is just how it is.

Many people will have no future, at least they have the luxury and privilege of knowing that, and this will enable them to live, and die without the uncertainty of worrying about whether they will be loved, homeless, or healthy. They can then make better choices in this knowledge and more effectively fight for liberty, justice, and freedom for those who will survive them. Should they so choose.
