Medical is always going to demand the degree for their own liability but even EE or IT stuff, with how much information is freely out there on the internet, I could see those jobs being done by someone who is self-taught
One of my parent’s friends when I was growing up was making 6 figures doing computer repair (hardware and software), never went to a day of college, all self-taught

Coding / IT, surely. Engineers still want the degrees and internships. Half of it is business and connections now / can you make people laugh over a beer. Thankfully, the other half for me is still calculus so I’m not bored to tears
Nursing degrees can be done quickly at public schools. Especially if you do dual credit in high school. Given that you can just go NP or CRNA, I think more men should consider it if they can stand being a nurse for a few years. I couldn’t, but being poor would be worse than paying one’s dues
