And another problem: What happens in, say, four years when we have four years' worth of new graduates with new student loan debts who DON'T have them forgiven because they weren't around for this round in 2022? Do we just forgive loans in perpetuity now? Or is it only this current generation of graduates that benefit from this?

This is why this smacks more of politics and appealing to voters than some genuine attempt to change their lives or the system in general.
