What I never understood is being offended on behalf of other people. If a Jewish person is offended by a anti-semitic name (even though that’s not what this was), fine fair enough. I could even understand someone coming to a dev and saying “hey I’m worried that a Jewish person might be offended by this” as some kind of a warning
But to say you’re offended by something that doesn’t even apply to you is just…unhealthy IMO. It’s taking on extra stress you don’t need

imagine an alternative world where a person finds out that the name they chose could be perceived by someone as offensive and they offer to willingly change it out of an abundance of caution and empathy. Good. now go back to getting offended by people being offended on behalf of others.
