Trump's court filing he made about the search was the oddest thing I've ever read as a lawyer. First, he's making a filing like nearly 3 weeks after a search was conducted. Really odd just in terms of timing.

Second, his filing says that he is asking for the documents back so he can give them to the National Archives. Which is really odd because the whole reason they had to search his property was because he WOULDN'T give them to the National Archives.

Third, he said the search was super aggressive and the same result could have been accomplished with less invasive means. Which is odd because he was the one who refused to comply/cooperate with any less invasive means/requests, which was what necessitated getting a search warrant.

This is the type of frivolous motion that courts will sanction people for. I doubt that will happen here given it's a former President so it's high profile, but seriously this is one of the worst most frivolous motions I've seen.
