Thanks Jimjam! I searched all my logs for all my melees (who aren't Ogres) and found only 1 example of a defensive ability firing while stunned and not on the same time stamp as stunned vs unstunned. In the case of the one I found the stun seemed to last 3 seconds vs the standard 2 so there might be a timing piece. Yours looks pretty conclusive though.
