Good idea, that. Children are surely one of modern society's most efficient disease vectors. Hopefully your relatives don't take offense but if they do, that's their problem and can be dealt with later. Hospitals are already dangerous enough places for compromised people, don't need to unnecessarily add to the already-considerable risk. Here's to hoping once you get out you don't take home a case of staph or some other unwanted guest.

I'd say I hope things are progressing "well" but I know "well" is a problematic term for what you're facing. So instead I'll say, I hope things are progressing as expected with no further unexpected negatives.

well they put a central venous catheter in her about an hour ago. now she's scarfing pizza. the catheter, we're told, is a pretty good sign that she may be allowed to leave soon and do the second stage of the chemo as an outpatient.

this whole thing is making me consider going back to school at 40 to become an RN or something. Respect to the healthcare workers
