It's disturbing that people can't understand the simple concept of incredulity and risk assessment. If covid itself poses virtually no risk to you due to your age\general health, and especially if you've already had covid, why would you then take on any as-yet-unknown additional risks that this experimental vaccine might entail?
It's simply impossible for the vaccines to be declared safe when there is still no long term data. In the short term, they do show serious side effects in certain populations, particularly otherwise healthy young men. Until we have at least ten years of long term data on these vaccines, you simply can't make any scientifically sound declarations about their safety.
It's also just always amusing how people's attitude toward them is so politically aligned, to the point where when trump was still president (under whom they were actually developed) prominent dems were talking about how they "wouldn't trust trump's vaccine!!", as if he personally made it himself or something. Then as soon as biden gets in, receiving the very same vaccine becomes some kind of pseudo-religious purity test for the left, which no rational assessment of risk\benefit can overcome.
Yall are in a cult when it comes to this stupid, relatively mild (for the vast majority of people) disease. If you've never behaved this way in the past wrt: the flu, which also kills grandma frequently, why are you doing so now?
