Manufacturing sent overseas to spread democracy and to have greater monetary returns. More freedom for some, arguably less for others. But umm, as his been displayed more than once, Pat doesn't consider them since he isn't from here. In fact, he actively hates on them for sport.

Edit: Manufacturing comes back, foreign owned. "Share the prize" as they say. America strapped, openly on mainstreets, to the yoke of Global socialism and it's communistic ways.
