Hey I totally agree any actual criminal actions that occurred should be punished accordingly. But "it's clear that maybe, potentially criminal actions might have occurred" isn't exactly a bombshell. They tried impeaching over this exact issue and it failed, precisely because they couldn't establish that anything criminal occurred, so what exactly is the point of this totally one-sided political show trial? Like, get back to me when they have hard evidence. "Day 563 of the jan 6 committee: BOMBSHELL: Crime maybe occured we think!" is getting old.
I say "potentially" because I'm a lawyer so that's just my instinct to write lol. I think people are definitely going down for this, the evidence is really clear.

And no the impeachment didn't fail for that reason lol. The primary reason it failed was because a bunch of moronic Republicans just took the partisan line and refused to convict no matter what. It was clear enough at that time. However, if you want to get technical about it, like 90% of the evidence that has come out through the Committee process was not known at the time of the impeachment trial...ergo, the impeachment proceedings aren't really relevant overall.

At any rate, stop letting yourself take politics so personally. I'm a Republican and I think it's okay to admit when a candidate was awful and did something messed up. That doesn't mean the "libs win" or some bs like that. Allowing something like Jan 6th to happen without any sort of repercussions would be terrible for the future of our country and our system. Put your personal desire to "own the Libs" and your stubbornness aside for a few seconds and let's do the right thing here and then we can all put it behind us and move forward into a new (hopefully better) era of American politics.
