If someone has a criminal record from their youth, they shouldn't be allowed to legally purchase firearms for at least a year when becoming an adult.
This gives them 1 year to go screw up as an adult and stay on the bad list.
It's a good idea. It will help.
There will still be criminals illegally obtaining firearms to commit crimes. Heads up.
