Crimo applied for a license in December 2019.

At the time “there was insufficient basis to establish a clear and present danger” and deny the application, state police said in a statement.

Crimo legally purchased the rifle used in the attack in Illinois 2020 & 2021. In all, police said, he purchased five firearms.”

83 spent shells were found on the roof Robert E. Crimo III was shooting from.”

Still Republicans say Robert E. Crimo III is only the problem right not the ease to get a high powered weapon.
it is hard to involuntarily commit people for insanity these days to prevent harm to the public, but some people want to use the same parameters to be able to buy a firearm.
