I'll give you three reasons:
1. It was made illegal to keep industries that kill YOU alive and thriving. (Tobacco and alcohol)
2. It was made illegal to control the Japanese during World War 2. It used to be legal in Japan and now it is not. First the US military made it illegal and then lobbyists for the alcohol and tobacco industries made sure that politicians demonized it for decades so that no one would have it.
3. Not everyone tolerates marijuana well and certainly not the parasites in charge of humanity. They don't want humans to be happy because if humans are happy, then their source of food dries up. (Sorrow and anger feed the beings in charge of humans.) Aliens are already here, you just DO NOT want to meet them.The ones who you do want to meet, are trapped underground. The evil ones are creating propaganda to make you hate aliens and condition you to shoot them on sight. Meanwhile the evil ones lurk in your city halls, your capitol and they hide behind every position of power. They look human but are not.
There is a war going on and humans largely have no idea because UKRAINE and OMG FACEBOOK!
