In the industry we call it " Insulation " There was just empty space originally. This was out in Seattle so its probably intentional so the air can circulate and remove excess humidity since it rains 10 months a year. I had a ton of old construction material and garbage so filled the wall cavities when I was redoing the old burned 1960s wiring before covering it up with drywall. (No vapor barrier installed)

That place will probably be one giant mold spore in a few years.

The chimney was also broken and leaking so I went on the roof, put some electrical tape and JB weld over the obvious cracks and used a coat hanger to secure the assembly. I spray painted over that to match the color of the chimney. Very good obfuscation.

Glad they waived inspection because I really did not want to go under the house because of the rats/spiders and live electrical wire I forgot to secure. (Its on a 10 amp breaker so wont kill anyone that quickly)

They paid $320,000 for this hot piece of shit. Bag holder incarnate.

So this guy has some flawed perception of reality and is projecting his flawed world view onto me. Its almost like a rape really.
