Although I dunno, I know they do for large loans depending on your financial position. When I took out a loan for my 2021 truck, I had good credit but lots of debt and mediocre income, so the bank needed to know EXACTLY what truck I was buying, including the VIN# because it was the collateral they would repossess if I missed payments

But even if the bank did ask and the kid said it was for a gun, it’s not the bank’s job to question or police that

And yea, when buying online the gun is still sent to a local dealer to be picked up, who will run a background check. The kid had a clean record, and hadn’t been red flagged by FBI for any previous internet content, so a background check didn’t stop him
Didn't ask his co-signer either or did this reckless youth already have established credit at the local bank?
