Some of these ideas are getting really far from the truth of classic everquest.
Dying making a difference is a big part of everquest. That is why dungeon crawling is dangerous, having to crawl back just to recover your lifeless body is a huge part of the game.
Thats why necro's get summon corpse spells, rogues get sneak hide, and why some people stick to peaceful outdoor zones and have a great damn time.
It makes perfect sense. You have happy outdoor classes like the ranger and the druid that you can enjoy your life on the surface and really have the best time in the entire game, or you can be a dangerous dungeon smashing maniac with all those risks.
