I agree.

Make death and getting mediocre items easy and not time consuming. Make the mediocre items pretty common and pvE gained (functional in pvp). With tons of variety everywhere.

Add a tier of good and elite items u can get in pvp.

Balance out immunities and G-d modes so they are only temporary and on a delay.

Make it so a full group of shit tier characters if they are good players can eventually kill and defend against a single G-d character and player.

Make G-d items exceedingly rare. Find a way to take G-d teir items and plat or points outa the game on a seasonal bases per character without resets.

Make tradeskills a fun meaningful part of the PvE experience with some potential to craft some tradeable G-d teir pvp items with ultra rare ingredients that can be traded for.

Make it ez for ppl to play alts to avoid situations where they cannot rly play or progress anymore cuz getting griefed. Encourage players to let go of some goals and come back later instead of poopsocking the same 5 legacy items for 3 years.

That would create a winning pvp mmo. Add in fun stuff like sieges, big pvp battle events. For prestige and fun prizes and you got E-sports level gold.
You just described Elder Scrolls Online for the most part.

I really want tradeskills to be worthwhile in Everquest. They never were in classic (not sure even after classic). In a game like ESO crafting is almost essential, or it's at least so useful that crafted gear sets can be almost as useful as the rarest gear drops, and with a huge variety of bonuses and effects. There's even gear that drops that's designed to be dismantled for extra skill-up points instead of worn (you raise tradeskills by deconstructing items in that game. It's unique and it works great.)

In Everquest you get cultural armor which is yawn-worthy and way too complex to craft for what it's worth. Except for fletching and maybe alchemy Everquest tradeskills were mostly for roleplaying or helping newbies get a leg-up with banded armor or something, and eventually a rare few quests.

I'm starting to think I should be playing ESO again lol.
