No these are just hopeless aspirations that are difficult enough that they can provide an excuse to continue striving for something physical to fill a spiritual whole.

Humans are designed to live on god power, and anything less leaves you unsatisfied. It's like how someone that never drinks water (actual water) finds it kinda gross at first, and you cultivate an addiction for actual health and vitality, the same goes with cultivating an appreciation and a need to actually live in Love / in pursuit of the good of others, which totally heals you an supercedes your need to bolster up your own well being all the time.

So it's just a meta distraction that works for a while.
