Honestly though, I’d love to see an Anglo-Saxon counterfactual history where Edward the confessor had heirs and the half Dane Godwinson’s didn’t lead the Anglo-Saxons, with their vernacular literature and highly efficient government, being wiped off the earth by Norman shitheads (though Hastings is where the 1066 comes from in my sobriquet)
Good post, but was just making a Monty Python reference (I’m sure you probably knew that). Normans were the original orcs, I always enjoyed the 1066 ref in your name! Thanks for taking an interest in our history!
