Have you checked to see if Universal Plug and Play (uPnP) is enabled ? [pg65 in manual]

It should be defaulted to ON but sometimes gremlins happen.

reduce that. Maybe try 15 minutes.

increase the defaulted value of this from 4 to 8.
see if you get any improvements from those changes? The UPNP should take care of any ports needing opened or not automagically.
*note: if this solves your problem but you don't want to have upnp enabled, then there must be more ports in either udp or tcp that need to be openend to your machines lan ip.
