Joel Osteen is a good dude. When my wife was going through some major depression issues, he was really helpful in getting her to see the positive side of life.
I know a lot of Christians accuse him of preaching the “prosperity gospel” but frankly, I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I have met too many Christians, especially when I lived in the south, who were content with being fat and poor because the opposite of those was vanity.
Joel often talks about how you can’t help anyone else if you are fat, sick or broke. I agree with that statement.
Joel does have a lot of money, but I think he does more to help people than most other millionaires. He does not come off as a pretentious fellow, though I do think his wife does.
