Human beings inherently want to obtain and wield power. The united states' founding was unique in that it was the first time an organic rebellion enforced a legitimate check against power (the monarchy), and it worked out pretty well. All of the naive lefty idiots who spit on america are free to do so only because of what they are spitting on, so it doesn't really make me mad because it's just perfect irony.
