Another question. Wouldn't GFG be, stats aside, an inconsequential upgrade until lvl 40 damage cap drops? At 30 it's limited to 26dmg, i.e. it practically has the same ratio as a PWC. I guess slower attack speed means less ripostes though but eh.

You are correct, it is a small upgrade compared to PWC. I usually recommend it because it is really the only good upgrade at that level range. GFC has a little bit better ratio, stats, and no more -30 poison resist. But if you want to be cheap and keep PWC that isn't a bad route. You will stop meleeing by level 50, so you don't need to worry about the PWC proc.
