Yep. Sounds like we've found the Great Filter. There will never be geopolitical conditions in which the world disarms, and as long as we're armed, it is only a matter of time. In the matter of decades that we've had nuclear weapons, we've already had several very close calls. Extrapolate that over the next 10,000 years and there is just no way we survive.

Yes we treat animals cruelly, sometimes, other times we treat them pretty damn great. Meanwhile, a tiger is *always* gonna treat me cruelly.
