All the articles I read seem to imply that covid restrictions forced everyone to stop driving, creating much less demand, then now that everyone is driving again (oh no you’ll kill grandma with covid though!) the suppliers can’t keep up

So whoever implemented extreme covid restrictions with questionable success in terms of protecting the people is at least partly responsible for gas prices now
