I can confirm this is not the case. My monk carries a Totem of the Warrior Spirit in his range, and I need to only click a single Shattering Hammer into range slow to throw (with nothing in ammo because 1.0wt).
Research is showing that https://wiki.project1999.com/Rusty_Warhammer is range-slot equippable, but doesn't have a range attached to the item, IE: 55 for a shattering hammer, 60 for a shuriken, etc. With no range value (distance it can be thrown) for the weapon, it cannot be thrown. So the game is treating your warhammer like a range slot item for stats....except it has no stats!

Ah thanks for confirming that! I guess the ranged value for the rusty warhammer on the wiki is wrong. I can't remember if it shows the ranged value in game or not.
EDIT: Nevermind, I think I know how to tell if a weapon can be thrown. If you look at the wiki for
https://wiki.project1999.com/Shattering_Hammer , you can see the skill says "throwingv2". My guess is only weapons with the "throwingv1" or "throwingv2" skills can be thrown, which makes sense. That is why you can't throw your
https://wiki.project1999.com/Barbarian_Hunting_Spear for example, because it uses the piercing skill. Same with the rusty warhammer, which uses 1 hand blunt. My guess is if rusty warhammer does have a ranged value on it in game, that is just a bug. It may be intentionally done, because P99 likes to include the classic misspellings, the pending lore on Shralok pack, etc.
