The problem with homeschooling is that many of the same people who can't afford a private school of their choice, whose cirricula they approve of, also can't afford to stay home and school their children while also working two jobs, if they're even capable of educating a child.
So there really is no good argument against full transparency for public schools. Of course you can't accommodate every parental concern, but they have a responsibility to try, and this notion that they should have some kind of sacred teacher\student confidentiality agreement with children is insane.
