No it’s a complete exaggeration, on both sides. Here’s what really happened:
Lesson plans were made more transparent because they had to be for online school during covid. Parents started noticing in a few isolated incidents teachers teaching some stuff they found highly questionable. A few isolated incidents
Then teachers brought these concerns to parent teacher meetings or the school board, which is the appropriate place to bring them. In a few isolated incidents, these meetings got out of control and people got arrested. The vast majority of the meetings went completely fine, and ended with probably something similar to what Gravy said “This is our lesson, if you don’t want it for your child there is homeschooling”
Both sides are trying to exaggerate the frequency of problems like it’s all over the country. I go into schools and talk to parents all the time about their gender confused children, do you know how many have identified something in schools they didn’t like to me, just as a way of venting? Zero
