The trans athlete debate is actually a great example of the left doing the thing they always swore wasn't happening when the gay rights movement still had a noble goal.
"Who cares what people do in their bedroom??", which was a good point, has evolved into "Yes, Mr. and Mrs. parents-of-a-young-girl, I am a male and I'm going to compete on your daughter's swim team and I'm going to completely dominate the sport and they won't have a prayer of winning ever again and also I'll be celebrated as brave for my trouble. If you have a problem with any of this, you're a bigot."
