There is also the point of eliminating people from having babies in the first place and eliminating those who are a net negative drain on the community. That way no babies ever get hurt needlessly again for the sake of some idealistic principle.
Additionally there is the added factor of breeding and controlling peoples potential so they can not fuck up even worse again. For example, no more accidental Einstiens or Oppenhiemers. Or people who can read a book and then feel entitled to chop down all the forest. Breeding people to be more compliant, obedient, and fastidious. etc.
