I pay attention to flavors and the construction of a beer because I LOVE the complexity of it even when a beer may have as few as 3 or 4 ingredients.
The Big 3 don't offer any complexity or uniqueness, not to mention any flavor, that I would want to purchase.
I can't imagine a beer snob as someone that would go so far as to be someone that specifically purchased a beer because of where or how it was made, but if that's what he's referring to then I can kind of agree.

That said, there are certain nights when I'm simply on a quest to get drunk on a budget. Like I said earlier, those nights many times end up somewhere they're serving 2 for 1 pisswaters and dollar E&J shots

Or baseball games, for example. If I happen to drop a can of Keystone on the ground, I'm not going to be as upset as, say, dropping a bottle of my favorite chocolate stout. Different situations for different methods of alcohol.
