CNN and NBC can afford all the legal council they need. They wouldn't pay this out if they didn't realize that they basically had to.

Sure they would, if it was expedient and let them focus on more important stuff than some beefin' honkey.
And no, settlements never admit any wrongdoing, that's part of the agreement.
