What I was going to mention to Botten is that automation threatens a lot of jobs

For example, self-driving cars threatens the entire supply chain industry workforce due to putting hundreds of thousands of truckers out of a job

“That’s still so far off”. Is it? I saw a guy asleep in one of those google cars with the spinning top electronic thing, and another one reading a book. I know these cars still require a driver for emergencies but already these drivers aren’t driving

It is important to learn a skill that is hard to automate. Something that has an inspection or diagnostic process would be. Something like a plumber, electrician, ac repairman, etc. Not only are these jobs somewhat protected against automation, you also don’t have to work for some “evil” bigwig ceo and you can make a comfortable living

It does appear Shawk knows some shit about houses, he could even get a job as real estate inspector or something, hard to automate that. And real estate is booming

Not trying to make a dig this time, just thinking out loud
