Honestly, when it comes to gear any time you spend on it is not going to be a "good investment". What I mean is that you'll put X hours to get the item, and then the item will only make you XP a
tiny bit faster ... so you would have been better off just sticking to XPing, getting higher levels, and then getting even better gear with those higher levels.
That being said, most classes have a few items that break this rule (eg. the JBB or epic for a Shaman), an Druids are no exception. The Luminescent Staff, once you get to 45, will let you quad kite for really great XP, and more importantly there's the

This ring will let you charm fight and break your charm when the mob is only at a few % of HP, which will dramatically increase your XP over time when charm fighting. It's the
only item, before you hit 45, that I think is even worth your time.
