Cuts to social safety nets incentivize people to become self-reliant, which is ultimately a pro-life position, because nobody can live off the government forever. They will eventually become homeless and die.
I agree with having those kind of programs though, nobody wants to get rid of them entirely. People who simply can't work due to a health condition need to be cared for.
This is perfectly consistent with the notion that, ya know, murdering babies is bad.
