Stephen Hawking was right about the world ending via an asteroid. If you study Revelations, you will see that one rock (beast) hits the ocean and the other beast hits the land. Looks like an asteroid that broke apart as it entered Earth's atmosphere.
We have a near earth asteroid in 2029 but looks like it will pass 18k miles from earth.
