They have to do it like that. The reason they get elected is to actively destroy the government and intentionally make it extremely difficult to get help from the government for normal citizens. When a donor needs something, its done.
They see every dollar spent on you was a dollar they could have paid to their donors, who will give them kick backs or a sweet no show "consulting" job for a mil a year from that same company they were so quick to help. They let the companies write their own legislation to hurt competitors and help themselves.
