Also a fact: The Republican party has a majority of their members claiming govt cant help you because govt IS the problem the neo liberal pitch was made by reagan and are the marching orders (Only entity with social safety programs, regulation so corporations don't directly kill for profit is govt)
The Republican party has not passed a single bill in congress focused on the middle / working class since the 1980's, and If you can show me otherwise homesteaded please because I dont think you have half a pebble to stand on other than "oh we need to force da babies"

They have to do it like that. The reason they get elected is to actively destroy the government and intentionally make it extremely difficult to get help from the government for normal citizens. When a donor needs something, its done.
They see every dollar spent on you was a dollar they could have paid to their donors, who will give them kick backs or a sweet no show "consulting" job for a mil a year from that same company they were so quick to help. They let the companies write their own legislation to hurt competitors and help themselves.
Fact is, heres the study. The government works for the rich. Its not for you if you're not a millionaire. You ever tried to get unemployment in florida? They intentionally erect road blocks all over the process to make it as difficult as possible and still deny everyone to protect the business owners.

If people would just be honest with themselves, its pretty easy to see.
I give you nothing, I call you and say "you're a public servant, I need help, help me" and 99.9999% of the time, that call will be forgotten.
I give you $100,000 in "political campaign donations", I call you and say "You're a public servant, I need help, help me" and for some reason, that persons concerns are addressed every single time.
To sit there and say "I would view both situations as equal and would not prioritize one over the other" is just a lie. You're a damn liar if you even think that humans operate like that. You know they dont.
