yeah hospitals are a business like any other. they cut costs at every opportunity. if business is slow, they'll close a whole floor, reducing their, "capacity".
hospitals reporting 80%, 90% capacity are nothing new, this is a sweet spot for profit over hospital operation costs;
its a business like any other.
The actual metric that should be applied to covid patients populating hospitals is only this:
How many
dying Americans are turned away, asked to leave, and refused medical care
without being referred to another medical care facility?
