As I said, I was speculating as to their motivation. All I know is that historically, their actions haven't been the kind of actions you'd expect from someone who loves quakes.
And as for my facts, which of the following is inaccurate: That the player base asked for simulated respawns (of any sort) for years before quakes were finally added? That quakes were going to have an automated release, and then didn't? That they went from 1-3 to 0-2?
And again, I'm not saying any of that is bad ... just that it suggests
at best apathy or some kind of conflicted feelings towards quakes on the part of the people who control them.
