Abdomen sounds gnarly, but really it’s a sub-cutaneous shot into belly fat. The higher the gauge, the smaller the needle

Intra-muscular shots will always hurt more than sub-cutaneous no matter their location. To give an example, type 1 diabetes patients do their insulin shots with a sub-cutaneous needle into belly fat and don’t feel it
