There are tons of drugs that get full non-emergency FDA approval with less testing than the COVID vaccines. Some get approved when they're pretty sure they don't even work.

It's not rational. Listening to experts when you aren't one is rational. And the vast majority of the same people who have this "rational" opposition only have it because of politics.
