I don't think you understand that if one side of the equation is constantly training and breaking rules and at the same time refusing to admit it or take responsibility for their actions until after a petition has been submitted then the other side has no choice but to "play politics" as you say. You are lead by a person that did something so unprecedented in p99 history that he was suspended for over a month (not that doing that had any teeth since he played on bots the whole time he was suspended) and his guild was suspended from all raiding for a full week.
He:
A) logged in another guilds bot while playing his own character (ie: 2 boxing)
B) trained that other guild with their own bot
C) lied about it to gm's when confronted by them
How is anyone supposed to take you or anyone else in your guild seriously when you're all ok with being in a guild lead by that type of person? No one in riot, leadership or otherwise, has come anywhere close to doing something that blatantly against the rules. He's extremely lucky, or has such deep pockets, that all of his characters didn't get banned completely off the server. People have been banned for less.
So yes, while you all might not be big bad evil cheaters you're certainly lead by one and ok with it. Any argument you try and make or bad thing you say about another guild while walking around with that guild tag has zero credibility because of what your leader did.

It was a tough time of year.
