I sadly played WoW for awhile... I can tolerate the young playerbase, it's easy to ignore people and play the game. At least the population benefited from being relatively easy to level up.

My biggest problem was with end-game players having about 1/20th the skill level of that of an EQ Raider. I joined a guild on my 80 Paladin and subsequently started organizing and leading raids for them. Fortunately the core of the guild was strong enough that our 10 man downed LK, but aside from that I can tell you trying to lead those players was like pulling teeth.

People make fun of "standing in the fire" as a part of WoW mechanics and it's no joke, a large portion of those players can't seem to handle the concept of situational awareness at all. I.E. spam my 4 skill buttons and don't pay attention to fuck all else.

The game had some fun raids, some fun PVP, and leveling up was relatively enjoyable. Sadly it didn't outweigh the abundance of idiocy for me.
