That's correct but not in the way that you're thinking. Remember a vaccine is preventative, not curative. If your pal had covid, the damage is already done. The those who catch covid after being vaccinated show less dangerous symptoms and less long term effects from the virus, as your body is more able to fight the infection with the double dosage.
