The Olympics is a place where people pay to watch grown men competing to see who runs 100 METERS the fastest. So while the universe is busily creating suns, moons, beaches, lakes, rivers, oceans, without an audience in total silence two grown men are in the middle of a HUGE noise running 100 METERS which they trained 4 years for.

And they're having it during a pandemic and it's sponsored by McDonalds which is food which makes you fat.

Watching the Olympics is like people watching other people play EverQuest instead of playing it themselves.

I'm sorry but the whole thing is asburd and so was that mayweather vs logan paul fight ; boxing is already incredibly stupid but they took stupidity to a whole new level with that one.

The world has finally gone mad and the face masks and Olympics are proof.
You contradict yourself by including boxing in the mix. Boxing is one of the only sports that requires skill. It doesn't matter how hard you train, if you weren't born with the right genetics then you'll never play in the NFL or NBA.

In boxing (and MMA), you typically have to fight people in your own weight class. Any size advantage you may have can actually work against you. Muscular guy? Well, unless you cut weight you're likely going to end up having to fight taller opponents who have a major reach advantage on you, and they may even be significantly stronger than you are due to having a large frame. Is that extra muscle really beneficial enough for you to fight in a larger weight bracket?

Want to fight smaller people? A lot of times a weight cut will leave you with no stamina and you're easily over-powered by smaller guys who are fighting at their natural weight class. I've fought in several weight classes, and I've experienced both ends.

Until you see Basketball and Football implement height/weight classes, they are no talent sports and aren't interesting to me. Not to mention the fact that there is no drug testing in most of those sports. Literally everyone is on PEDs. At least with combat sports they do attempt to regulate it some.
