HIV was originally not a human virus, for what it’s worth. Was that one made in a lab?
I’m not discounting your claim, I think it’s even likely. It’s just if the Chinese are that evil, that’s really really bad. I give people the benefit of the doubt, even my enemies. But yeah, I don’t doubt a research lab let a virus out by accident. It could be a bat or whatever else virus as the story goes though. Gonna have to wait and see I guess, since I have neither an electron microscope nor a fellowship in epidemiology

HIV circulates in humans and apes so far as I know, and could be carried by a bat but doesn't spread to other bats or affect them. The question is a nonsequitur kinda muddying the waters angle from my point of view; we know the origin of HIV and its reservoir population.
And most importantly, we do not know how to fold proteins. We cannot create unique proteins unless there is classified research which can do so (and I don't think there is. it will be an absolutely massive development when it happens. Imagine "just add water" to a little brick and put it in the sun and it folds itself into an exquisite piece of furniture). So it is impossible to fabricate from scratch, only mix-n-match. Which is all that was done in my china-virus theory. Literally just gene deletion and replacement techniques that a teen could run through.
Everything I am claiming can be done, whereas your pooh-poohing strawman requires a virus to be generated from scratch as if by God's hands, technology that is currently beyond us. There are no human-made original proteins; we cannot write genetic code from scratch to create a novel functional unit -- yet. I am happy to explain this, but it illustrates your basic ignorance of the spread of human knowledge on this topic and I'm sure you'll be back with a post insisting your ignorance is just as good as anything I will ever have, and that you deserve to have incredibly strong opinions about this even though you literally don't give yourself permission to think about it and it's always genuflecting to some "authority source" with you.
How you end your post makes me feel melancholy. I cannot understand how it is that you don't understand that we do this type of research too. It is not chilling evil anymore than every minute of every day here. It's not a joke; this is Imperial living bro. It is an industrial accident in a very claustrophobic-feeling world. Unless, of course, it was China allowing a disaster to sweep the world which they knew differentially they would handle better, thereby gaining relative advantage. Which is possible too, but who knows. I am not making any specific claims that violate occams razor here.
One day we will have the mathematics fleshed out to roughly demonstrate the odds of a genetic transposition like this in nature. To reiterate, the narrative is that a one-in-a-sextillion genetic exchange was made between two diseases which only can exist inside a bat host simultaneously in extremely rare and temporary edge cases, and the results of that genetic exchange appeared on the sidewalk in front of a bioweapons research facility totally by coincidence. I would drill further into the details of the viral structure too, to demonstrate to you that it is made up of known genetic sequences which any scientist could have strung together that way if they decided to. We are being asked to believe something mathematically retarded. Strong opinion.
