here's a thought experiment if you have an 80 year life expectancy, and your kids do, and your grandkids do, but hundreds of years from now an asteroid hits and all your kin all kill each other or die due to dependence a lacking infistructure...
...While the great great great great grandchildren of the tribesmen live on and on for hundreds of more generations.... long after your DNA has gone extinct.....
