I lost the drive to compete online around WoW burning crusade.. it gets toxic like you describe, best just enjoy yourself.
That said I’ve never reached max level in EQ.. always have just enjoyed the journey of leveling in this game. Low key wish the game would just wipe every two years but I understand why others wouldn’t agree.

Thats what I'm saying there's a lot better casual communities and servers. Than here.
I mean, yeah, you can play blue, red, and green casually it's possible.
It lost its appeal to me tho when I opened my mind to live, skimming lore from the web, etc.
