You literally cover your eyes and say all is well while dozens of colonies worth of citizens are massacred. The head of our big brain science world leader CDC fucking ate shit like a literal *child* in a way that boosted an anti-pandemic-measures-movement that led to tens of thousands of deaths, and necessitated a literal intelligence coverup to hide the blunder because it would have smashed public trust so severely in a time of crisis.
